Niels M. Johnsen
Chairman of the Board/CEO

Niels M. Johnsen is a native of New Jersey and a 1967 graduate of Tulane University. After service in the U.S. Army, he joined International Shipholding Corporation in 1970. He has served on the company’s board of directors since 1988 and assumed his current position in 2007. He also serves as chairman of International Shipholding’s principal subsidiaries Central Gulf Lines, Inc., and Waterman Steamship Corporation.

Erik L. Johnsen
President

Erik L. Johnsen is a native of New Orleans and a 1979 graduate of Trinity University. He joined International Shipholding Corporation the same year, and he has served in various operations and management positions since that time. In 1994, he was appointed to the International Shipholding board of directors. In 1996, he assumed the position of president of LMS Shipmanagment, Inc., and the following year he was appointed president of Central Gulf Lines and LCI Shipholdings. Additionally, in 1997 he was named executive vice president of Waterman Steamship Corporation. He was elected president of CG Railway, Inc., at its founding in 2002 and was elevated to president of International Shipholding in 2007.

Manuel G. Estrada
Vice President/ CFO

Manuel G. Estrada is a native of Cienfuegos, Cuba and a 1977 graduate of Loyola University in New Orleans. He joined International Shipholding Corporation in 1978 and he received his certified professional accountant designation in 1986. He assumed his current position in 2005.

Peter M. Johnston
Executive Vice President

Peter M. Johnston is a 1977 graduate of SUNY Maritime College and a veteran of many years in the offshore industry. He joined International Shipholding Corporation in 1991 as director of operations and assumed his current position in 2009.
