Shore-Based (Office) Career Opportunities:

Chartering
Solid chartering background in dry bulk cargoes.  Experience will include negotiating, drafting and finalizing charter parties and a strong foundation in post fixture operations.

Operations
Extensive background in operations management in the maritime industry.  Experience will include coordination of day to day operational activities of owned and time chartered vessels. Sea time and terminal operations experience a plus.

Sales
Proven experience in sales and commercial development with particular emphasis on the dry cargo segment of the industry. Candidate must be a self starter with wide industry contacts who can initiate, develop and conclude contracts with cargo accounts worldwide but with an emphasis on business development in North and South America.

Shipboard Career Opportunities:
Shipboard positions are located on-board vessels. US Flag shipboard positions are scheduled by International Shipholding through the Unions listed below and International Flag shipboard positions are hired directly by International Shipholding. All shipboard positions are hired on a per-voyage basis. Examples of these positions include Cooks, Stewards, Deck Hands, Marine Engineers, Asst. Engineers, and 1st, 2nd, 3rd and Chief Mates.

International Shipholding maintains ongoing contracts with various maritime unions for scheduling shipboard positions for our voyages.
